VIDYA, an initiative of Shhalaj Publishing House, respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website or takes part in a VIDYA programme — including children and their parents or guardians. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it is protected.
Information We Collect
Currently, this website collects only the information you choose to submit through the contact form — your name, email address, enquiry type and message. Version 1 of this site does not use a database, does not require accounts, and does not track visitors beyond standard, anonymised web server logs used to keep the site secure and running smoothly.
How We Use Information
Contact form submissions are used only to respond to your enquiry. As VIDYA's programmes develop (for example, the Write for Right India submission process), any additional personal information collected — such as a child's name, age group, school or parent/guardian details — will be used only for administering that programme, and this policy will be updated to describe that in full before it happens.
Children's Information
Where a VIDYA programme involves children, we collect the minimum information necessary to run that programme, we require parent or guardian consent, and we handle that information with particular care. See our Child Safety Policy for more detail.
Information Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only where necessary to run a programme (for example, with the editorial team reviewing a submission), or where required by law.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information submitted to this website against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Your Rights
You may ask us what information we hold about you, and request that it be corrected or deleted, by contacting us at support@shhalaj.com.

This policy will be updated as VIDYA's programmes grow. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "last updated" date at the top of this page.
